My love of music started at a very young age playing the violin. My roots are
in classical music left the violin and fell in love with the guitar.

I played 6 and 12 string guitars for many years, playing folk music and
Mississippi Delta blues in bars and honky-tonks in the Northeast. All the
while, I had deep seated yearning to play the harp after seeing a wonderful
gilded concert harp as a young girl.

So I started on the new venture with the harp. I found my true love in doing
so. I realized quickly that the harp to me was more than an instrument.  It was
an avenue to the soul.

At one point, my mother was in the hospital. I took my harp and played for her.
At that time I noticed that when I played, her blood pressure would drop to a
normal level. During this time I would play in various nursing homes for
parties and entertainment. I quickly realized that my harp and the love of my
harp had an effect on the seniors for whom I played.

I found myself enrolled in the Certified Clinical Musician course which started
me on a profound musical and spiritual journey.  And now sitting behind my
harp I am an observer to some of the most wonderful miracles. Volunteering
at J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Grane Hospice and all the various nursing
homes right here in the Alleghenies I have the opportunity to provide a
simple reprieve from pain, anxiety and the stress that is found in these
situations. Through my training as a Clinical Musician, I am able to help in the
healing process through sound, rhythm, frequency and resonance. I am
grateful to the Divine Spirit for allowing my hands to touch the strings of my
harp.

I have my certifications as a Clinical Musician, Vibro~Acoustic Harp Therapy
Practitioner and a Holistic Sound Healer. I am a member of the Associated
Bodywork and Massage Professionals, Sound Healers Association, the Sound
and Music Alliance (SAMA) and the International Society of Folk Harpers and
Craftsmen.

I am Council Representative on the National Standards Board of Therapeutic
Musicians and a Mentor for the Harps for Healing/Certified Clinical Musician
Program.

I love to share my experiences so please never hesitate to contact me!
